- “Ramdhanu Theatre Group” presents “GANDAR”, a Bengali adaptation of the play ” Rhinoceros ” by Eugene Ionesco. It is written and directed by Subhas Longmarch.
- The story takes place in a small town where something strange starts happening – people are turning into rhinoceroses. In this play, Roddur sees his friends and neighbors transforming into these big creatures but he fights alone to keep his human form.
- The play explores how the pressure to conform affects people and how to fight against it. “GANDAR” is a thought-provoking tale of identity, courage and the struggle to stay honest to oneself. It is a strong slap against Fascism.
